Sheila holds both a law degree and a Master’s degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family therapy.
Sheila was born in Iran, and emigrated to the United States at the age of one. Although she grew up in the United States, her parents put a strong emphasis on raising her with a deep appreciation for Persian culture and language. Sheila strives to do the same for her own two children. Sheila was so inspired by her role as a bi-cultural mother that in addition to authoring the Nowruz related Children’s books she also co- created and ran Shiro- Asal, a toddler mommy and me group.
